Wishful thinking is beliefs based on what might be pleasing to imagine, rather than on evidence, rationality, or reality. That’s how we started in 2015, a bunch of friends reminiscing a amazing school days when we were yet to be touched by the rationality and reality of the world. We wanted to go back to that time enjoy and have a good time with friends and brothers. But as we increased in numbers we realized, what if we were to think wishfully; What if we imagine a better world, a better future. It’s cliché at the highest order one might think. We realized we can help someone in need even if for a fleeting moment. We started our journey and we kept getting to know more Wishful thinkers like us.

One day we were able to help 500 people with emergency medical care during a disaster, next week we were able to form the mind of next generation through career counselling. Though these small steps we have come to this. We are with you, for you, always with you.

Let’s dream of better world better future. Some may call it Wishful thinking, but for once let’s see the future though innocence and youthfulness of a young 16 years old.

WORKS ACCOMPLISHED IN LAST FINANCIAL YEAR

WYWS combated the corona pandemic phase-1 head on. It distributed as many as 10000 health equipment’s and more than 2000 food kits.
It organized 7 NOS-free medical camps in the Amphan affected areas in association with Al-Ameen Mission and Nabadiganta.
It is successfully running a primary school in Amphan devastated area in Mousumi Island.
It organized an online career counseling program that reached as many as 100 thousand individuals.

TARGETS IN NEXT FINANCIAL YEAR

Imparting Quality Education to Slum Children in and around Kolkata.
Job-oriented career counseling in an extensive way.
Running financial awareness programs in rural and slum areas for their financial stability.
Providing scholarships and regular monitoring to the deserving candidates.
Supporting deserving students in higher-studies in abroad.
